Join us for an exclusive event to celebrate the Dutch Centre’s 5th anniversary – only a few places still available!
This is to invite you to join us for a unique evening of cello music and a festive reception hosted by the Dutch Ambassador to the UK, His Excellency Simon Smits, as we celebrate five years of the Dutch Centre in London.
The Dutch Centre was established in 2013 as a charity showcasing the best of Dutch arts and culture. It holds a unique position in London’s rich cultural landscape and successfully builds cultural bridges between the UK and the Netherlands. Over the past five years we have hosted more than 120 events and have welcomed almost 10,000 visitors. Our events are open to everyone and most of our evening events are in English or with English subtitles. We organise talks, lectures, film screenings, theatre performances, comedy evenings, exhibitions, concerts and much more.
To celebrate this important milestone, we would like to invite you to a special Fundraising evening at the Residence of the Dutch Ambassador on Tuesday 27th November 2018 from 7-9 pm. The evening will comprise a unique chamber concert with the talented winner of The Cello Biennale Amsterdam Competition, followed by a reception hosted by the Dutch Ambassador.
The Cello Biennale Amsterdam is a ten day long renowned international music festival revolving around the cello. With over 100 events in every space of the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ and the Bimhuis, the Cello Biennale Amsterdam forms a meeting place and source of inspiration for cellists and music lovers from all over the world. The National Cello Competition is an important and exciting part of the festival. The competition inspires and stimulates young top talent in playing for an international jury and audience. This year’s winner will perform a special concert in honour of the fifth anniversary of the Dutch Centre on the 27th November.
