Music and the paintings of Johannes Vermeer

On Tuesday 30 March 2021 we hosted an online event from the Dutch Centre. During the lecture titled ‘Not how many, but how well’: Music and the paintings of Johannes Vermeer’, art historian and author Dr. Richard Stemp will took us on a journey along the paintings of this great Dutch master, after which we were taken back to the time of Vermeer through a musical interlude performed by The Strand Consort and conducted by Joseph Fort.
